EPC

ЕРС is the international contract form used in engineering and construction. It is EPC contract that is used when a Customer wants to hire a Contractor to execute the whole work cycle. The Contractor performs work for a fixed payment using its own resources. There is no any special payment for project management and work organization.  

The following characteristics are typical of EPC contract:

• Fixed price;
• High responsibility which in most cases is limited within the contract price;
• The Contractor is more independent in construction process execution and the Customer has a few capabilities to guide EPC-contractor or Subcontractors.
• The majority of risks under the Contract including risk of unforeseen expenses and delays are in EPC Contractor’s responsibility. Very often EPC contract is used when the Customer does not have his own board able to manage the construction project and that is why the Customer doesn’t interfere in such management and doesn’t assume the corresponding risks.
• ЕРС is one of the main contract forms in projects which are financed by banks (project financing) as when the banks give a credit they want the debtor assume as few risks as possible.

As a rule, ЕРС-contract is used in those projects when an experienced Contractor can accurately estimate his expenses and risks.  

JSC «Rosneftegazmontazh» has the required experience, human and technological resources to execute construction of storage tanks, tank farms for liquid and bulk materials and petroleum depots under EPC-contract being fully responsible to the Customer for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning works as well as for schedule compliance and budget fulfillment irrespectively of subcontracting, selection of suppliers and other conditions.
